Basic information
Equipment name: Traction driven passenger elevator (residential elevator)
Inspection category: Regular inspection
Main parameters:
Main issues
During the inspection process, the inspector received a complaint from a resident stating that the elevator door frequently cannot be closed recently. After inspecting the floor and upper sills of the hall door and car door, it was found that the rope hanging wheel or door hanging wheel in the upper sills of the hall door was severely worn and broken.
Cause analysis
Due to the fact that the elevators in this community have been in use for over 10 years and have been used frequently, and the lobby door is one of the most frequently moving components. By inspecting the rope hanging wheels and door hanging wheels in the upper sill of the hall door, it was found that the rope hanging wheels or door hanging wheels on different floors of the elevator had varying degrees of breakage or severe wear. Due to the wear and tear of the rope hanging wheel or door hanging wheel, the resistance to the movement of the hall door increases significantly. When the hall door is not fully closed in place, the movement resistance of the door is often greater than 150N, which triggers the re opening function of the hall door. Repeating this door opening and closing process multiple times on the same floor will cause the elevator control system to crash. Damaged rope or door hanging wheels are caused by natural aging of the material, while severely worn rope or door hanging wheels are caused by excessive wear due to a mismatch between the material of the rope hanging wheel and the hardness of the connecting steel wire rope.
The faults on the door system are common and frequent, accounting for more than half of elevator failures. However, the position of the door hanging wheel is relatively hidden, and maintenance units often misjudge and ignore it.
Possible malfunctions
After passengers enter the elevator car and select the floor, the repeated opening and closing of the hall door may cause the elevator to crash, which may first cause panic among passengers and worry about whether the elevator is malfunctioning. If the opening space of the hall door is small, passengers may be trapped inside the elevator car due to inability to pass through.
Handling plan
(1) When elevator maintenance personnel maintain, they should strengthen the inspection of the rope hanging wheels or door hanging wheels in the upper sill of the hall door, and pay attention to whether there are cracks and rapid wear;
(2) When solving the door system malfunction, maintenance personnel should not only pay attention to the excessive debris in the gap of the sill, which may cause the door to fail to close, but also inspect the rope hanging wheel or door hanging wheel in the upper sill of the hall door;
(3) Due to the fact that the rope hanging wheel or door hanging wheel in the hall door sill is not an important component, although the individual price is relatively low, it often needs to be replaced in batches and in large quantities. Property management units generally underestimate and are unwilling to replace when a small amount needs to be replaced, and are unable to replace when a large amount needs to be replaced. By addressing the above three points, the occurrence of such faults can be basically avoided.
