In the scorching summer, it's the rainy season again. After the scouring of rainstorm, the situation of "water overflowing Jinshan Temple" is more common. For elevators, the pit and machine room are places where rainwater is easy to enter. If the waterproof measures in these areas are not properly taken, it is extremely easy for the elevator to malfunction and even cause damage to important components (such as control cabinets). Therefore, it is particularly important to take measures to deal with water ingress! Here, Bondi Elevator teaches everyone how to deal with the problem of water ingress in elevator pits:
When water enters the elevator pit, first turn off the main power supply to prevent electrical short circuits and avoid equipment damage. At the same time, the elevator should be parked on the highest floor in a sliding manner to prevent water from soaking the elevator car and its electrical equipment.
When water enters the pit from the entrance of the elevator's lowest floor hall, if the amount of water entering exceeds 5 centimeters, a submersible pump is used for drainage. Use tools such as a dustpan, spoon, or bucket to clean the water that has not been drained by the submersible pump. If the amount of water entering does not exceed 5 centimeters, tools such as a dustpan, spoon, or bucket can be used directly to clean the water.
After the water in the pit is removed, natural ventilation is adopted to remove water vapor from the elevator electrical equipment that has been soaked in water. Alternatively, use a hair dryer to dry the water vapor on the elevator electrical equipment that has been soaked in water. Then, inspect the elevator equipment that has been soaked in water, confirm that it is normal, and conduct a trial run of the elevator. If there are no abnormalities, the elevator can be put into operation normally.
